Prosign was tasked with creating a unique bar concept for a client who had a vision for something truly distinct.

The project, dubbed the "Chick N' Rum" bar, was a bold venture blending classic a home bar with a innovative new experience, all set in a vibrant, yet approachable environment.

From the outset, the challenge for Prosign was to design and produce an immersive space that not only stood out in the crowded hospitality industry but also tied together the theme of the bar in every aspect—from the furniture to the graphics, and even the interactive elements.

The studio team, known for their expertise in both creative design and technical execution, took on the entire project in-house, from initial brainstorming to the final installation.

The Building

The external building of the "Chick N' Rum" bar was brought to life by Cosy Garden Rooms, a company renowned for its expertise in designing and constructing bespoke outdoor spaces. With a commitment to creating functional, aesthetically pleasing structures that seamlessly integrate into their surroundings, Cosy Garden Rooms was the perfect partner to build the external framework of this unique bar.

The collaboration between Prosign and Cosy Garden Rooms was essential to realizing the bold vision of the "Chick N' Rum" bar, transforming the external architecture into a striking visual statement that perfectly matched the dynamic, playful interior design.

Internal Graphics and Branding

From the beginning, it was clear that the branding and internal graphics were going to play a significant role in the success of the design. Prosign's in-house graphic designers were tasked with creating an identity for "Chick N' Rum" that would be memorable and visually compelling.

The team started by exploring various visual languages, mixing quirky, hand-drawn typography with more sleek, modern graphics. The result was a playful, yet sophisticated logo featuring a chicken pirate as the primary motifs.

The team also designed a set of internal wall graphics that continued the theme of the bar's concept. One of the standout features was a mural on the wall behind the bar depicting the logos branding on a wooden backdrop.

Prosign’s graphic designers also worked on smaller, more intricate designs that were used throughout the space. These included menu boards, signage, and custom-printed drink coasters, all featuring playful designs that reflected the branding—each piece felt like an extension of the overarching "Chick N' Rum" story.

Many items were design from faux Trip Advisor review board acrylics, Illuminated custom bar lighting, Frosted window graphics, Themed Coasters, Pool Cue holders, Lampshades, Posters, Wallpaper Graphics, the team incorporated so much within the area that it truly gave one of a kind experience.

The Bar Area Design

A main focal point of the design process was the bar itself. Prosign's studio team carefully considered the functionality of the space, ensuring that the bar area would be both practical and visually striking. The team began by choosing materials that would evoke both rustic charm and industrial chic—ideas such as metal, and bold neon elements and all in-between were considered.

The counter itself was designed to be wide enough for people to comfortably enjoy their drinks but also included integrated shelves for liquor storage, visible but neatly organised. Behind the bar, a custom shelving system was designed to house the extensive rum and drinks selection.

The bar was not only a functional space but also acts as a fantastic canvas for social gatherings.

Prosign’s designers created intricate, yet playful patterns for the bar’s front face, featuring bold colours and abstract designs that tied in with the overarching theme of fun and festivity. These details gave the bar a sense of personality and drew attention to it as a focall point within the room without being to overly powering.

3D Printed Items and the Han Solo showpiece

One of the most exciting and innovative aspects of the project was Prosign's decision to incorporate 3D printing into the design. The team worked to create unique, custom-designed items that added a futuristic touch to the space.

Some of the key pieces included a 3D-printed Han Solo frozen in carbonate from the Star Wars Movie : The Empire Strikes Back.

Another innovative use of 3D printing was seen in the creation of custom-made light fixtures. These bespoke pendant lights were printed in intricate patterns, designed to cast dynamic shadows across the space while providing a warm, ambient glow.

The 3D printing process allowed the design team to experiment with shapes and forms that would have been impossible to achieve using traditional manufacturing methods, giving the space a one-of-a-kind feel.

The Arcade Machine

A unique and unexpected addition to the "Chick N' Rum" bar was an arcade games machine, which became an instant focal point in the venue. We wanted to create a playful, interactive element that would appeal to a younger crowd and evoke a sense of nostalgia to the older generation. Prosign’s team embraced the idea wholeheartedly and took on the challenge of designing a custom-built arcade machine from scratch.

The arcade machine was designed to reflect the aesthetic of the bar, with a custom-painted cabinet featuring the same bright neon colors and bold patterns seen throughout the space. Prosign's team worked to create a one-of-a-kind design that blended elements of classic arcade games with the Chick N' Rum branding.

The arcade machine was not just a fun distraction; it also became an iconic design feature that added to the immersive, playful atmosphere of the bar. As a nod to both nostalgia and innovation, it helped make the venue stand out.

Other cool items, Wall art, Wallpaper's & the final touches

Every detail has been carefully curated to create an unforgettable experience. From the sleek wallpapers that set the mood and pay tribute to the surrounding local area, to the dynamic wall art pieces that brings energy and personality to the space, every element has been thoughtfully chosen.

The addition of cool, ambient lighting enhances the atmosphere, casting a warm glow that perfectly complements the lively vibe of the bar. Together, these final touches transform the space into a welcoming, stylish haven where the food, drinks, and ambiance come together seamlessly, elevating the experience for every guest.
